Happy Spring!

Hello friends,

I hope this message finds you well and enjoying the beautiful sunshine we’ve been blessed with lately.  I wanted to share a quick update on what’s happening with Sharing is Caring Aid because there’s so much to be grateful for and excited about!

We’re Growing!

Our community is expanding, and we couldn’t be happier.  In just the past few weeks, we’ve welcomed over 100 new members, bringing our group to more than 3,600 strong and still climbing.  It’s such a joy to meet new faces and unite in kindness to meet real needs.  If you haven’t joined us on Facebook yet, we’d love for you to stop by, say hello, and make yourself at home.  You’re always welcome.

Meeting Needs, Together

Thanks to your continued generosity, we’re making a real difference.  Every day, we receive requests for food, clothing, and essentials, and because of you, we’re able to respond with love.  This past week, we provided several bags of men’s clothing for a teen in need and another donation for someone living in a group home.  Moms frequently reach out for help with shoes and clothes for their growing children, and we’re honored to help.  If you have clean, gently used clothing you no longer need, consider donating directly through us.  Instead of dropping items into a bin, your gift can go straight to someone in our local community who truly needs it.  It’s a more personal and powerful way to give.

Community Connection

Recently, we had the blessing of attending three community gatherings in Roseville in support of efforts to save Sacred Heart Church.  While on site, we shared encouragement, prayers, snacks, water, and information about our mission.  A special highlight was meeting a kind woman from Lighthouse Outreach on Gratiot, who offered to partner with us.  Just one of many meaningful connections that continue to grow.

We also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our partner organizations who help make this work possible: Eternal Light, Eagles Helping Hands, Elmwood Blessing Box, and NW Detroit Blessing Boxes.  Together, we’re feeding the hungry and sharing hope.

How Can You Help

There are so many ways to get involved:

Even if you can’t give right now, someone you know might be able to.  The more people who hear about us, the more hearts we can reach. Thank you all so much.

Let’s keep showing up, shining bright, and making a difference together.

With gratitude,

Kim Steelman
